About Me

My name is Alisha Gonzales, and I have lived in Coffee County the majority of my life. I have been married to my husband, Paul, for 20 years, and we have two children, Penelope and Oliver. Both attend schools in our Coffee County School System. During my career, I have taught middle school ELA for nine years and second grade for three years while taking a break to homeschool my kids for five years. Instilling a love of writing and reading is a passion of mine, and I truly enjoy getting to witness students' excitement when the learning clicks!

As a product of the Coffee County School System, I believe our students and staff have the potential to do great things! We have had many students pass through our doors who have had successful careers and have proven themselves to be kind, productive members of society. As an educator, I know students can learn if given the right instruction, support, and opportunities.

When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, attending concerts, traveling, and cooking. An avid fan of music, I listen to many genres and love having conversations about the music. Early in our marriage, Paul and I made a decision to travel and to give our children a chance to adventure to new places. In fact, I keep a travel list on my phone and am constantly adding more places. Life is about exploring, maintaining integrity, and helping others. Getting an education fosters those goals, and I am blessed to be  part of an education system that sets students up for success in those areas.
