TCAP Testing

Our students will be entering testing mode once they come back from Spring Break.  The first week back will be a practice week of TCAP for each student in grades 3-5.  During this time teachers will have students take a practice test just like the one they will take for real.  Every day during this week will be devoted to one subject area.  So Monday will be Reading/Language Arts day, Tuesday will be Math, Wednesday will be Science, and Thursday will be Social Studies.  Friday will be used as a  make up day.  The week of TCAP will follow this same schedule.

It is important that for the next three weeks your child gets in bed on time, has a set routine at night and in the morning, and eats breakfast each day.  It is also very important that your child arrive on time.  This means be here before eight o'clock.  Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m., and it is extremely important your child is here  so he or she can begin the test with the rest of the class.

We want your child to succeed at school and the TCAP Test is the state's way to measure your child's success.  So, please help us help your child be as successful as possible this school year.
